Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan Review and Giveaway

Welcome to Steph's Sweet Reads!!!

Well, as you can tell we've moved into a new place.  Steph's Sweet Reads was busting at its seams and it deserved its own space, so,from now on I will be doing all of my reviews, blog tours (hopefully), and giveaways over here and getting Sweets by Steph back to its original "cookie site". I also wanted a place to be able to say what I wanted, I kinda felt a little reserved when writing my book reviews and posting them on/through my "business" page. I guess now you will really know that I am a crazy, fun, foul-mouthed cookie maker who loves a good book and isn't afraid to share it to the world.  You all follow my recommendations, so you can't judge! LOL  I am SO excited about this venture, it wouldn't have been possible without any of you.  I know this is a untraditional type of book blog, but that's what I'm hoping sets me aside from all the others.  We have cookies...and books...really good kickass books, might I add! So, sit back, enjoy the reviews, click on the links to grab up these amazing author's books and enjoy the cookie art...oh, and yeah, don't forget to sign up for the sweets!!! I will be working on upgrading the look (in between all that down time I have...HA!), so I can't wait to unveil that to you soon!

Undeniable (Undeniable, #1)
Now, back to the good stuff!  I read Undeniable: Book One (Volume 1) by Madeline Sheehan last month and have been TRYING to get this review up for almost a damn month now!!  I am so excited to share this book with you...it's raw, and edgy, and rough around the edges and ALL CONSUMING!  I hope you enjoy my review!

Synopsis:

Warning: This is not a typical, sappy love story. This is an all-consuming, soul-crushing, tear-your-heart-into-pieces story. It’s intense, gritty and raw, dark and disturbing, and it doesn’t happen overnight. This is an epic love story that knows no boundaries and has no time limits. It grows and develops—with hurt, sacrifice, and heartache—over the span of a lifetime. Eva Fox is the princess of the Silver Demons Motorcycle Club. Growing up with bikers in the club lifestyle is all that she knows. When she’s a young girl, Eva meets the reason for her existence. Deuce West is the sexy, biker bad-ass of the Hell’s Horsemen Motorcycle Club. Like Eva, he was born and raised in the club—but that’s where the similarities end. Their first meeting is innocent, but as Eva matures into a woman, their chance reunions evolve into a fit of lust and love. Fate continues to bring them together time and time again, but their twisted journey is filled with pain, betrayal, and bloodshed that could tear them apart. Eva sees in Deuce what he cannot see in himself—a man worthy of love—and Eva spends her lifetime proving to him that her undeniable love is the one thing he can’t live without. This is Eva and Deuce’s story. It wasn’t easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. And love is worth everything.

Sweet Reads Review:
So I seriously don’t even know how to start this review.  Speechless, dumbfounded, awe-struck, in love, feeling roughed up and in need of a cigarette…and that’s just the first half of the book!!!!  Undeniable is sick, raw, fascinatingly twisted and downright sexy as hell, in a dirty but oh-so-good kind of way.  I was given this book to feature on my Sweet Reads blog and honestly if she hadn’t decided to send them, I really don’t know that I would have picked it up otherwise.  I mean hello, no biker babe here folks. LOL  I am SOOOOO glad she wanted to participate!!  HOLY SHIT!!!! I was completely sucked into a new world of bikers, booze and organized crime.

Undeniable is spanned over a few decades of time and follows two people connected by motorcycle gangs.  Eva Fox, daughter of The Demons President, Preacher, meets Deuce, the VP of the Horseman MC when she is only 5. Their age difference is that of 18 years, but when they first meet it truly is the cutest encounter ever, nothing gross or inappropriate about it.  As I read through this story I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to get to the next chance encounter of Deuce and Eva, increasing in sexual tension every time.  Eva is a perfectly flawed, spitfire woman that we watch grow up before our own eyes. She doesn’t back down to anything or anyone, unfortunately this could her downfall. Deuce…all alpha male, all the time.  Good Lord, I wanted to strangle him, and then kiss him, and then turn around and kick him in the balls. But with that said, I wouldn’t want anyone else standing next to me facing some of the shit they did.
Following their story over almost 30 years, we are faced with some SERIOUS moral issues, language (and I thought I had a mouth!), violence, sex, and death. (If you are faint of heart, this is NOT the book for you)  The one thing that I really had to wrap my brain around was the way that the bikers interacted with the women; whether at the club or their own wives…do biker women really allow themselves to be treated like this?!!!  WOW!!!  Through all of that, their love truly is undeniable, whether either one wants to admit it or not.  I was so emotionally drained by Deuce and Eva at times I wanted to literally scream out loud BUT, I couldn’t help but love both of them more each time they pushed through whatever fucked up situation they had found themselves in. IT.WAS.A.ROLLERCOASTER!  I enjoyed this love/hate ride so much that I didn’t want it to end.

Favorite quote(s):

“Baby, true freedom is the open road, the wind on your face, and a good woman on the back of your bike, holdin’ you tight like you’re her reason for breathin’ because she sure as fuck is yours.”
“It wasn’t easy. Nothing worth doing ever is. And love is worth everything.”
